How does a new custom business sign go from concept to installation on time and on budget? That’s the question Jerry Rossetti thinks about constantly.
Jerry is the latest team member to come on board at Sign Effectz, Inc. With the help of our shop employees, he builds memorable signs for our clients. According to Jerry, “The sign draws you in and the more creative your sign is the more likely folks are to remember your brand.”
The sign business is a natural fit for Jerry since he is a 3rd generation sign builder. His favorite part is the variety of custom signs we fabricate and install for general contractors, architects, etc. “We do custom sign work and no project is like the last one. Our specialty is taking the customer’s logo and building a great sign based on it. We go from simple to complex, which keeps your mind busy and that’s what makes work enjoyable – the creative challenges and solutions. ”
As Project Manager, his day-to-day responsibility is making sure the sign service and install teams are set up for the next day. He also ensures that the necessary materials and tools are ready and the trucks are up to maintenance standards. Most importantly, he makes sure ladders and safety equipment are in top shape. His job is all about the safe and efficient deployment of our work crews.
Jerry is no rookie when it comes to project management. His most recent position was managing utility projects such as reconditioning water towers and infrastructure in Texas and retrofitting ballast tanks on oil freighters in Africa. One of his larger assignments was a 3 year project restoring a bridge in Junction, TX that was built in the 1930’s. His involvement included retrofitting it with a guard rail system that kept the original look of the bridge.
Outside of work, Jerry spends quality time with his granddaughter, restoring mini-bikes together (one is a ’58 and the other is a ‘63). He also loves go-karting and restoring old cars, especially Mustangs, Gran Torino’s and Chargers.
