Every office has a go-to person. They get things done and just know stuff. In our office, that’s Jen Schulz. We hired her as our HR/Office Manager in September and it didn’t take long for her to prove we made the right choice.

It’s because Jen does what she says she’s going to do. And she does it with precision. For example, when she processes payroll, it’s done right. She knows our employees count on their paychecks being accurate. According to Jen, “my customers are internal, the employees. If I say your check is going to be right, it’s got to be right.”

This same level of professionalism describes how she administers our medical benefits program.  It’s her job to help employees understand their benefits so they can make the right decisions.

WORK / LIFE BALANCE

What’s her favorite part about working at Sign Effectz? It’s the deep respect this company has for its employees.

Jen commented, “Adam and I discussed this during the recruiting process. I was looking for a company that placed a high value on its employees. It really resonated with me that they value the work/life balance. You shouldn’t have to feel guilty about taking a vacation.”

Although Jen worked outside the sign industry, it didn’t take long for her to gain an appreciation for what makes a great custom sign. She admires the high level of creativity woven into the Sign Effectz company culture, especially our sign designers. She loves the catchy logos, shapes and colors that draw the eye.

JEN’S HAPPY PLACE

Jen’s happy place is her family’s fifth-generation cottage on Lake Winnebago where she goes to get away from it all. She also enjoys visiting vineyards as well as spending time with her family and friends.
