There are several advantages to turnkey sign projects, perhaps the biggest is how streamlined it makes life for the customer. The customer can look to the sign company to tackle everything including working with the city on the permits, manufacturing the sign and installing it.
We completed this type of project for gasoline retailer Cambeck Petroleum Corporation at their TA Travel Center. The first step was to sit down with them to confirm their need, which was a new, highly visible sign on a 70’ high rise for motorists to see from the road. Then came the design and engineering for permits. The third step was the manufacturing of the sign in our Milwaukee facility and determining the logistics of getting it to the customer’s location in Cambridge, WI. The fourth step was arranging the subcontracts for high level crane capacity.
The customer also looked to us for Safety coordination throughout as well as value engineering to meet his budget. High rise signs aren’t the simplest permits in the world. Ambrose Engineering in Cedarburg stamped the design.
We bundled all of this into one package. This turnkey solution enabled them to focus on running their retail gasoline business. They didn’t have to sweat the details of sign development and project management, saving them quite a bit of red tape. The key was to make sure the sign met the brand specifications of the franchise arrangement. Jim Campbell, owner of Cambeck Petroleum, commented “As part of our franchise agreement, franchisees and their vendors have to meet strict requirements and brand specifications. I like working with Sign Effectz because I know I can rely on them to produce signage that will meet those requirements.”
