Administrators at the Eastbrook Church came to Sign Effectz, Inc. with a sign challenge.  Their requirement was to create an “urban” feel for their multi-ethnic, denominational church campus on Milwaukee’s north side.  A cornerstone of that new look was the sign in front of the church building.

To help church leadership comply with its tight budget, we recommended that it keep the existing sign base and existing cabinet.  This would be a very economical approach compared to the design and build of a completely new monument sign.

Our team removed all of the letters from the sign cabinet and carefully covered the holes.  We then painted the cabinet to a “Rust” finish. After the painting was complete, our crew then added two sides of 3/8″ thick steel, allowed the steel to rust…then sealed the rust effect to create an overall urban street feel.

The church’s sign image was completely changed in this simple process from what was a standard “box” ID sign to a completely new look.  You could say we gave the sign a “face lift”. The new look better expresses the current “Urban” direction of the church and campus…all while utilizing much of the existing foundation and sign.
